Permanent Fat Dissolving Injection with Deoxycholic Acid / Belkyra®
Belkyra uses deoxycholic acid – a natural occurring substance found in the body – to destroy the membranes of the fat cells and help you create a naturally contoured silhouette below the chin. This treatment is approved by both Health Canada and the FDA.
Fullness under the chin is also referred to as “double chin”, a common concern that is faced by many, but it can be caused by various reasons, such as genetics, aging, and weight changes. Belkyra is a treatment that can drastically help improve the profiles and silhouettes around the chin and jawline with a custom series of treatments by the doctor. Platelet-Rich Plastma (PRP) / Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) for face rejuvenation and hair loss
PRP is a component of blood that contains growth factors and other proteins that, when injected into the skin, will improve texture and tone, reduce wrinkles and promote collagen growth.
PRP therapy has been used successfully for decades in sport medicine, reconstructive surgery, dentistry, and orthopedic medicine to help speed recovery. In recent years, PRP has been used on the face or body as a skin rejuvenation therapy to improve the appearance of the skin. It is also beneficial as a hair restoration therapy, the growth factors contained within will naturally stimulate hair growth.
Our blood contains plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Platelets help our blood clot and produce growth factor proteins for healing. PRP injections on the face uses your own blood to help heal and renew your skin. Your blood will be drawn into small vials, which are placed in a centrifuge to separate platelet-rich plasma (PRP). PRP will be applied via small injections on areas of concern on the skin to help promote collagen production and rejuvenate your skin.
About the Procedure

It is important to note that PRP treatment patients often experience improvements for different skin issues at different times. For instance, sunspots and dark spots can fade or disappear after two to three months, whereas dull and dry skin may look revitalized within just a few days. Therefore, during your initial appointment, the provider can estimate the required length of treatment, the necessary number of sessions, and the approximate duration of your PRP results.
PRP facial results typically last between 6-12 months. However, it is important to note that your specific skin type will influence the longevity of your results. At the very least, you should experience results, especially after your first treatment, however it will take at least 3 treatment to have longer lasting results. You may notice significant improvement with your skin after 2 treatments. The results of a PRP facial are typically visible within a few weeks and continue to improve over time. Finally, your lifestyle, age, genetics, and other factors will also play into how good your results are and how long they last.
PRP for hair loss will require more sessions, every 3-4 weeks for 6 treatments to achieve the best results.

Microneedling
Microneedling helps in revitalizing skin and boosting collagen production with dermal skin remodelling. The treatment helps alleviate deep wrinkles, stretch marks, acne scars (pitting), and dilated pores.
Microneedling or “skin needling” is a treatment used to catalyze collagen development. We use a FDA-licensed and Health Canada approved device, the MicroPen EVO, which contains fine needles. These needles are designed to gently pierce the skin and produce a measured skin injury. The goal is to puncture the target area and help promote elastin and collagen development. Over time, the skin begins to heal, and noticeable improvements are seen in skin firmness, texture, and appearance.
With microneedling, the results can be seen within the first week. Many patients notice results in their second or third recovery day. The body will begin to develop collagen and regenerate punctured tissue. This will lead to healthier, smoother skin.
